The upcoming action sequel is set to feature big-name actors such as Sylvester Stallone, Megan Fox, and 50 Cent.
The well-known franchise that features action movie icons from the past is making a comeback with Expend4bles, fully aware of its ability to attract audiences for each new film in the series. A recent teaser shows one of the lead characters, Lee Christmas (played by Jason Statham), preparing to take on a group of baddies with little more than his bare hands. Given that all the major players in the movies are seasoned action veterans, any villain foolish enough to cross their path should think twice before doing so.
In the clip, Lee seems to be surrounded by a band of mercenaries who intend to kill him. However, Barney Ross (played by Sylvester Stallone) senses that the main character won’t go down easily and pulls out a shiny pair of brass knuckles in anticipation of a fight. Soon after, Lee springs into action, but the clip ends before the explosive showdown can occur. The heroes of the Expendables franchise are all set to demonstrate once again that they still have what it takes to dominate the big screen.
In the upcoming fourth chapter, the Expendables team will undertake an important mission: preventing a terrorist organization from smuggling nuclear weapons that could trigger a devastating conflict between the United States and Russia. If the group fails to stop the warheads from reaching their destination, the consequences could be catastrophic for the entire planet, making the team the final barrier against the possibility of a third world war.
The fourth installment of the Expendables franchise, known as ‘Expend4bles’, is set to bring familiar and well-known faces to the big screen once again. The new addition to the already impressive cast is Megan Fox, who will play Gina, the girlfriend of Lee and a skilled CIA agent. The team of Expendables, including Statham, Stallone, and Fox, reunite to save the world from collapsing. The movie also features Dolph Lundgren, 50 Cent, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, and Andy Garcia. A sneak peek of the upcoming movie can be viewed below, and it is set to release in theaters on September 22.
