The latest addition to The Expendables franchise, The Expendables 4 or Expend4bles, was released in theatres recently but unfortunately did not receive the expected response from audiences. Despite poor ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, with only 16% of critics scoring, director Scott Waugh has expressed his interest in continuing the franchise with a fifth instalment. Waugh stated that he would be honoured to direct another film and praised Sylvester Stallone as a collaborator and an excellent storyteller. When asked about other actors he’d like to work with, Waugh said he would focus on the story first before looking at other talents. While the film has had a disappointing opening weekend at the North American box office, earning only $8.3 million, the audience score on Rotten Tomatoes remains positive at 70%.
