During a recent appearance at the iHeartRadio Music event, Miley Cyrus treated fans to a live performance of “Wrecking Ball,” the powerful second single from her album “Bangerz.” This emotional track became her first No. 1 song on the H๏τ 100 chart and left audiences in awe during her four-song set.
During her four-song set at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Village on September 21st, Miley Cyrus gave a powerful performance of her hit single “Wrecking Ball.” This emotional song was not only the second single off her “Bangerz” album but also her first track to top the H๏τ 100 chart. The festival village was a daytime addition to the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival held in Las Vegas.
Entering the spotlight just after 1:30 pm PT, the 20-year-old music sensation greeted the enthusiastic audience wearing a form-fitting white top and pants. She began her performance with her hit song “We Can’t Stop,” accompanied by dancers dressed as colorful rainbows and mushrooms. Cyrus even got a trio of little people to twerk on stage before performing “Party In The U.S.A.” and a cover of Melanie Safka’s “Look What They’ve Done To My Song, Ma.” Finally, she set the stage for an emotional rendition of “Wrecking Ball.”
Although the heat was unbearable, Cyrus expressed her gratitude to the audience for attending her performance. She acknowledged the significance of “Wrecking Ball” as her first-ever song to top the H๏τ 100 chart. Accompanied by three guitarists, a keyboardist, a drummer, and two backing vocalists, Cyrus delivered an authentic performance of “Wrecking Ball,” without any pretense. She paced back and forth on the stage, hitting the high notes of the chorus with passion. The iHeartRadio Village, situated opposite the Luxor on the Vegas strip, featured 20-minute performances by various artists, including the Wanted, Avril Lavigne, Krewella, and Jason Derulo, among others.
Cyrus has a busy weekend ahead as she is set to take the stage on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for the iHeartRadio Music Festival. The festival boasts an impressive lineup including renowned artists such as Justin Timberlake, Paul McCartney, Drake, and Bruno Mars.
