This caught the attention of Guy Ritchie, who then cast Statham in his filmย Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, launching his acting career. Statham himself did not consider himself a true actor, a sentiment echoed by Nick Moran when discussing Tom Cruise’s influence in getting the film made. Without Cruise’s support, the movie may not have been picked up by buyers and both Statham and Ritchie’s careers could have been in jeopardy.
Even though he admits that he is not a proper actor, it is hard to deny his incredible talent and creativity.
