The plot follows Statham’s character, a former member of a group known as The Beekeeper, who seeks revenge against the organization responsible for a phishing scam. The trailer reveals that Statham must take on corrupt individuals within the government, and there are numerous scenes depicting intense shootouts and hand-to-hand combat. Other prominent actors in the film include Jeremy Irons and Emmy Raver-Lampman. The screenplay was written by Kurt Wimmer in collaboration with director Ayer, and the movie is set to hit theaters on January 12th.
