In a brief clip, we see Christmas confronting a gang of tough-looking men, apparently to protect Ross. To prepare for the fight, he slips on a set of brass knuckles. This scene gives us a glimpse into the upcoming Expendables 4 film and the character dynamics between Statham and Stallone.

The Expendables franchise has always been known for its ensemble cast, but the faces of the series have largely been Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham. In the past, Stallone’s character Ross led the team while Statham’s Christmas served as his second in command. However, in the upcoming fourth installment, Stallone’s role will be smaller, with Statham taking the lead as the new face of the franchise. This is evident in the film’s trailers, which feature Statham and new cast members prominently. While original cast members are returning, the majority of the cast is made up of new faces. It’s still unclear how the franchise will handle Stallone’s exit, but the groundwork has been laid to potentially continue the series without him.
